Local food bank not pleased with Trump budget

President Trumps budget proposal could cut funding towards local food banks by twenty five percent."The administrations proposed budget cuts to SNAP or food stamps would actually be disastrous,” said Joe Arthur, Executive Director at PA Food Bank.

Arthur says this cuts too much dough over a ten year span. "Would be in Pennsylvania about six hundred and seventy five million dollars’ worth of benefits,” said Arthur.

Money that would normally help provide food, services, and jobs.

"So that impacts people in need obviously,” said Arthur.About 1.7 million Pennsylvanians rely on the food bank each year. 

Arthur says these cuts will have a ripple effect.
