A man is facing multiple charges following an alleged rape and a five-hour standoff with police in Palmyra. Joshua Nunez is accused of breaking into a home on North Harrison Street early yesterday and sexually assaulting a woman inside. The victim eventually escaped but Nunez would not come out for police, who later went in after him. He was taken into custody without incident.
