Governor Tom Wolf is expressing disappointment that surplus money that was raised for the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia wasn't given back to the state. Four-million dollars that was part of a ten-million contribution from the government was used to pay bonuses to the host committee in Philadelphia and grants to non-profits, among other things, according to a report from the "Inquirer". Wolf says in a statement that money should have been returned to taxpayers, and is asking the state auditor general for a review.
