Reports of child abuse are on the rise in York County. The Department of Human Services says there were one-thousand-994 calls last year. Two-hundred-and-four of those calls were substantiated, 74 were cases of repeat abuse and nine of those were substantiated. However, officials say with the child protection laws a rise was expected.
