Hard liquor bill passes out of committee

The House Liquor Control Committee is warming up to allowing hard liquor to be sold in stores and supermarkets.  Two bills passed yesterday that would allow spirits to be sold in nearly 12-thousand stores for the first time since the end of Prohibition in 1933.  Opponents of the bills say they're opening up sales too much and killing good government jobs for the state-owned liquor stores.
