State police say three people involved in a multi vehicle crash Sunday afternoon are in the hospital with what are believed to be serious injuries.
According to release report, the driver of a tractor trailer was traveling northbound when he suffered a medical emergency. He then crossed the median hitting two cars in the southbound lanes. The driver of the truck, and along with a driver and passenger from one of the vehicles struck by the truck, were flown to Hershey Medical Center with serious injuries.
A second multi vehicle accident slowed traffic on I-81 southbound. According to Penndot, The second crash happened just after 6:30p.m. near exit 52 in Middlesex Township .The first crash happened just after 2 p.m. near exit 48 in Carlisle.
