Jewish cemetery vandalized

The Anti-Defamation League is offering a ten-thousand-dollar reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever's responsible for damaging hundreds of headstones in a Jewish cemetery in Philadelphia. Authorities say the vandalism happened at the Mount Carmel Cemetery at the corner of Frankford and Cheltenham Avenues sometime Saturday night or Sunday overnight. A large group of people spent yesterday surveying the damage and restoring some of the headstones. The Jewish Federation Center of Greater Philadelphia is helping to raise money for repairs.
