Thousands of bridges in Pennsylvania are structurally deficient. A new report from the American Road and Transportation Builders Association found more than 45-hundred bridges in the state need work. Experts say the structurally deficient label does not mean a bridge is in immediate danger of collapse, but that one of its major components has advanced deterioration problems.
