Pennsylvanians are mourning the loss of Harold Denton. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission employee passed away in Knoxville, Tennessee yesterday following a lengthy illness. Denton has been beloved in the area since he calmed fears about the TMI accident in 1979 and is credited for his ability to explain technical information in real terms. Denton was later awarded honorary degrees from Penn, Lebanon Valley College, and Gettysburg College for his service to Pennsylvania.
