A Carlisle man is facing charges for allegedly punching a K-9 officer. Police were called to a home in Middlesex Township Wednesday for a report of a suspicious person. An officer saw Edward Blancey the Third and tried to question him but he took off running. Another officer joined the chase and warned that he would release his K-9 if Blancey continued running, which he did. The K-9 subdued Blancey despite being punched.
