September 22-28 is Rail Safety Week nationwide, and here in PA we are working to get the word out on rail safety because PA is typically in the Top 10 worst in the US with around 90 injuries or deaths per year on our 5000 miles of track with 60 railroads.
Brock Kerchner, State Coordinator for Operation Lifesaver of Pennsylvania joins us to talk about rail safety.....what you should and should not do around or on railroad tracks. And some of the events and activities planned for Rail Safety Week.
We will also talk about and educate you on the signage at all railroad crossings which have the important info you will need if your vehicle gets stuck on the railroad tracks.
