Do you take pictures of someone while standing on railroad tracks? Did you know it's illegal?
Rail Safety Week was September 23-29.....and my co worker and friend Brock Kerchner asked me if he could come on WHP 580 and spread the word on rail safety especially at railroad crossings. Brock is the State Coordinator for PA Operation Lifesaver. A non profit group that works with rail companies to help prevent injuries and death on the railroad tracks.
This year they are trying to get the word out on the blue & white signs at every railroad crossings. Signs with info you should call if your vehicle is stuck on the railroad tracks.
We'll also talk about why taking photos or selfies on railroad tracks is not a good idea.
