My first visit to Bedford Springs was in 2008 and it quickly became one of my very favorite drive-to vacation spots – so much so, two years ago we hosted and celebrated our daughter’s wedding at Bedford Springs – and it was in a word – perfect.
Pittsburgh’s landmark hotel – the William Penn - was built in 1916 by wealthy industrialist Henry Clay Frick. A favorite location for celebrities, sport stars and political VIP’s - you never know who you may be sitting next to having dinner in the Terrace Room or high tea in Palm Court. (Of course, you must visit the recently discovered “Speakeasy” and enjoy a traditional hand-crafted cocktail.) Smack in the heart of the business district and within walking distance to many cultural and sporting venues, the Omni William Penn Hotel continues to be the place to see and be seen in Pittsburgh.
