“WHY DRIVE YOURSELF CRAZY – TAKE AMTRAK”

As a longtime train fan, I know the benefits of sitting back, relaxing and watching the countryside go by without the hassles of driving or trying to find a parking space. (Especially when traveling from Harrisburg to Philadelphia or New York City.)

Many of my listeners want to learn more about long-distance and overnight train journeys and on Saturday, March 23rd, from 11am-12pm on “Let’s Talk Travel with AAA”, my guests – Brad Webber, Manager Amtrak Keystone Service and Brock Kerchner, State Coordinator for Operation Lifesaver of PA – both train enthusiasts – will give overviews on their recent Amtrak travels from Harrisburg to Pittsburgh to Chicago to Salt Lake City and Los Angeles. We’ll chat about the onboard food, sleeping arrangements, the scenery and an overview on what to do while riding the rails. In addition, we’ll explain the ongoing partnership between the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDot) and Amtrak’s Keystone Service – plus answer several questions. With warm weather right around the corner, Amtrak recommends travelers plan ahead, book tickets early and get all current sale and special promotional details by going to Amtrak.com.

Amtrak operates more than 300 trains, connecting more than 500 destinations across the USA. For all information, go to Amtrak.com or 1-800-USA-RAIL.
