Pennsylvania Voter Registration Deadline Approaching

Voter Registration

Pennsylvania residents have until Monday, October 21st, to register to vote in the upcoming November 5th election. The deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot is October 29th.

Pennsylvania residents can check their voter registration status and apply for a mail-in or absentee ballot online with a valid PA driver's license, PennDOT-issued photo ID, or the last 4 digits of their Social Security number. The state's official website, vote.pa.gov, provides comprehensive information about the voting process, including how to apply for a mail-in or absentee ballot, how to obtain an emergency absentee ballot, and how to vote in person by mail ballot.

For those who miss the October 29th deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot, there is an option to request an emergency absentee ballot if they have an unexpected illness, disability, or last-minute absence from their municipality on Election Day. The emergency absentee ballot application can be submitted to the county election office any time before 8 p.m. on Election Day, and the completed absentee ballot is due at the same time.
