Study Links Heart Attacks With Extreme Heat And Air Pollution
(Guangzhou, China) -- Doctors are warning that exposure to extreme heat and air pollution may double your risk of a heart attack. A study published this week in the journal "Circulation" looked at over 200-thousand heart attack deaths in a heavily-populated province of eastern China, and found there was a "significant" association with extreme temperatures and high levels of air pollution. The study suggested that older people and women were at higher risk.
