>> Reading Begins 275th Anniversary Celebration
(Reading, PA) -- Celebrations for Reading's 275th anniversary have begun throughout the city. Laura Reppert, who's promoting the event for Reading, says the official birthday of the city is March 16th. She says a gala at the Reading Public Museum Wednesday is already sold out but about a dozen other events will be happening Thursday. A fireworks display from the Reading Pagoda is set for Thursday night, but Reppert adds that many other on-going events are set for the rest of the year, too.
