Air Quality Deemed Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups

(Lancaster County, PA) -- Residents of Lancaster County and some surrounding areas should take extra care outdoors over the next couple of days. Officials with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection say they shouldn't use fireplaces or wood stoves and shouldn't burn their garbage due a high particulate matter count. The air quality will be unhealthy for sensitive breathing groups including people with heart or lung disease, older adults and children. These groups should reduce prolonged periods outside and not exert themselves.
