International ShakeOut Day

>>International ShakeOut Day

(Undated) -- Today is International ShakeOut Day, the world's largest earthquake drill. Organized by the U.S. Geological Survey and FEMA, millions of people today will practice what to do in case of an earthquake. That means dropping to your hands and knees, covering your head and crawling under something like a desk or table if possible. It's also recommended to review your earthquake safety plan, like where you should meet up with family after a quake and making sure you have the supplies you'll need.
