(Reading, PA) -- Park officials say poison hemlock, a toxic non-native species, is spreading in the Wyomissing Park System. The Reading Eagle reports that a person who is a regular walker discovered the weed next to a popular trail. Officials say they're trying to warn park users about the plant as it likely won't be sprayed until spring time. They say they can't mow the plant as it would release sap and particles that could be inhaled or cause skin burns.
