>>Pfizer Issues Voluntary Recall For Another Type Of Its Blood Pressure Medication
(Scranton, PA) -- Pfizer is issuing a voluntary recall for its Quinapril blood pressure medication sold under the brand name Accupril. The company says the product is being recalled because of a cancer-causing impurity called nitrosamine with levels above the acceptable daily intake. The recall affects five lots of Pfizer's Accupril tablets in ten, 20, and 40-milligram strengths with expiration dates between May 2022 and March 2023. Lot numbers under the recall are available online at Pfizer.com, and patients should consult their healthcare provider if they have the recalled product.
