Renters Not Confident In Becoming Homeowners

>>Renters Not Confident In Becoming Homeowners

(Undated) -- A little more than 40-percent of renters believe they will ever own a home. That's according to a survey by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. It found just over 43-percent think they will own a home, marking the first time in the survey's history the number is under 50 percent. Last year, the survey found about 51-and-a-half-percent were confident they could become homeowners. This comes as the interest rate for a 30-year- fixed mortgage rate hit the five-percent mark last week, which is a ten-year high.
