(Harrisburg, PA) -- PennDOT is advising Pennsylvania residents and others to travel safely this week. Safety Press Officer Krys Johnson says that too many people take to the roads after drinking on St. Patrick's Day making the holiday one of the most dangerous on the calendar. Johnson says that before revelers head out the door for St. Patrick's Day events, they should think about how they will get home safe and not end up in jail, the hospital or the morgue. Nine people were killed in alcohol-related crashes in the state around the St. Patrick's Day holiday last year.
