(Erie, PA) -- Electronic fitness company Fitbit is recalling more than one-million of their smartwatches over concerns of skin burns from overheating batteries. According to a notice from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the recall is for Fitbit's Ionic Smartwatches sold between September 2017 and December 2021. Officials say there have been 115 reports of overheated batteries and at least 78 burn injuries associated with the product. Those with the watch are urged to stop using it immediately and contact Fitbit at Help.fitbit.com/Ionic or Fitbit.com for information on a refund.
