(Lancaster, PA) -- A small part of the 40,000 eligible children in Lancaster County have now gotten their first dose of the COVID vaccine. Lancaster General Health held its first clinic for kids ages five to eleven over the weekend and planners say it was such a great success they'll have two more similar events on the next two upcoming Saturdays. A news release also says the vaccine will be available at the organization's pediatrics and family-medical practices. Appointments are required and can be made my calling the hospital or its health care-affiliated providers. The shots are also available at many CVS pharmacies, Walgreen's locations and Penn State Health facilities.
