Hershey Bears Face Penguins in Playoff Series Thursday

The Hershey Bears are set to begin their playoff series against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Thursday (April 30). This best-of-five series in the Atlantic Division Semifinals marks the ninth postseason meeting between the two teams. Game One will take place at Mohegan Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre, starting at 7:05 p.m.

Hershey, seeded fifth in the Atlantic Division, will battle the second-seeded Penguins. The Bears went 3-5-1-1 against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in the 2025-26 regular season, but they won their final two matchups. The Bears' previous postseason encounters with the Penguins have resulted in a 4-4 series record, with both teams winning 20 games each.

The complete schedule for the series is as follows: Game 1 on Thursday, April 30, Game 2 on Saturday, May 2, both in Wilkes-Barre. Game 3 is set for Tuesday, May 5, at the GIANT Center in Hershey. If necessary, Game 4 will be on Thursday, May 7, in Hershey, and Game 5 on Saturday, May 9, back in Wilkes-Barre.

Tickets for Hershey's home games went on sale Sunday (April 26) via Ticketmaster. Fans can also catch the games online through AHLTV on FloHockey. The Bears are coming off a successful first-round victory against the Bridgeport Islanders, while the Penguins had a first-round bye.
