A tragic accident in Warwick Township, Pennsylvania, has claimed the life of 16-year-old William Fenninger. The Warwick School District announced his passing on Monday (September 1) after he was critically injured in a crash involving an electric bicycle last Thursday night (August 28). The accident occurred on Church Road near Forney Fields around 6:30 p.m. Fenninger, a junior at Warwick High School, was struck by a vehicle driven by a juvenile, according to the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department.
In the wake of the accident, the Warwick School District has offered extra counseling services for students and staff who need support. The community has rallied together to remember Fenninger, with many attending a gathering in the middle school cafeteria before Friday's high school football game. Attendees wore shirts with "LLW" for "Long Live Will" and held signs reading "Warwick Strong" and "We Love You Will."
The police department has stated that the investigation into the crash is ongoing. A GoFundMe page created by a friend of Fenninger's describes him as a happy person who always had a smile on his face. The community continues to mourn his loss and support his family during this difficult time.
