>>State Senate Passes Bill Letting National Guard Administer Vaccines

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The Pennsylvania State Senate is passing a bill that would allow the National Guard to distribute and administer COVID-19 vaccines. State Senator Kristin Phillips says our neighboring states are further along in the vaccination of their eligible population, and lawmakers are frustrated with the administration's failed rollout of the vaccine. She added that they want to be part of the solution as this legislation will have the National Guard collect, secure and transport doses of the vaccine. Qualified members will also be able to administer doses if it is requested by the Department of Health and Human Services.
