Allow Spectators at PIAA Events Petition

As reported on Wednesday, high school and middle school sports arestill scheduled to happenin the fall, according to the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA).

One of the safety measures for competition is the exclusion of fans from watching.

In response, a petition on Change.orgwas created, asking Governor Wolf to change that rule, so spectators can come to students' games.

"I think you could have fans," Lancaster County Commissioner Josh Parsons told CBS-21.

"The CDC guidance is that if you're outside and you spread apart six feet at least, that's very safe. I think there's a potential to have fans, safely, especially at outside events, so I'm not sure what was driving that decision."
