COVID-19 and the Pennsylvania State Police New Page

The Pennsylvania State Police is committed to the health and safety of department personnel and the communities we serve. The department is following guidelines from the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the CDC to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Like guidance given to the general public, troopers are reminded to wash their hands regularly, keep their work areas clean and disinfected, to practice social distancing whenever possible, and to stay home if they are feeling sick.

To limit in-person contact and mitigating the spread of COVID-19, the department has identified certain types of calls that may be resolved with limited or no on-scene response. The change went into effect April 1, 2020 and will remain until further notice.

Still, state police facilities remain open as a public resource 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Essential personnel are ready to answer the call to service during this unprecedented public health crisis.

This page will be regularly updated with information of public interest.
