Crazy Video Shows Toddler Falling Out Of Car While Strapped In Child Seat

A young child is lucky to be unharmed after falling out of a moving car in Minnesota. Chad Cheddar Mock was driving through a main road in Mankato when a car seat with a two-year-old child strapped in it came tumbling out of a vehicle. Mock stopped his car and ran to check on the toddler.

The entire scene was captured on Mock's dashboard camera and he shared the footage on Facebook

“I didn’t realize it was an actual baby that fell out of the car,” Mock told the Mankato Times. “What saved the baby's life is that she was strapped in the seat.”

The girl's mother returned around the same time the police showed up. After speaking to the officers, she took her toddler and left the scene. Mock said he was surprised that she refused to have the young girl checked out by paramedics.

“I don’t know the names of people involved or the circumstances on how this happened. I am just happy that the baby seemed to be alright,” said Mock. “I was surprised that the parents refused medical help for the child.”

Authorities said that while the girl was properly secured in the car seat, her mother forgot to fasten the seat to the car. As a result, officials are requesting that the mother face charges of child endangerment and having a child restraint system that was not fastened, though charges have not been officially filed.
