Our annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at Rock Chapel will be held on Monday, December 24, 2018 at 11:00 PM. All are invited to attend an old fashion Candlelight Christmas Service. Dress warm—it’s a historic, old building.
Located near York Springs, Pennsylvania, Rock Chapel was the first Methodist Episcopal Church in Adams County and is now the oldest Methodist meeting place west of the Susquehanna River. Its original cornerstone was laid in 1773, and the present building was rebuilt and consecrated in 1849.
Historic Rock Chapel is located at 4730 Oxford Road, York Springs, PA 17372 in Huntington Township. Directions from intersection of PA 234 and Old Harrisburg Road in Heidlersburg: Go 1 mile north to Oxford Road and turn Left onto Oxford Road. Continue one mile to Rock Chapel church on the Left.
