76ers fall to Wizards in season opener

John Wall scored 28 points as the Wizards beat the 76ers 120-115 in D.C.  Bradley Beal added 25 points for Washington, which held off a late rally from the Sixers.  Marcin Gortat posted 16 points and 17 rebounds in the win.  The top overall picks from each of the past two NBA drafts made their debuts for Philadelphia.  Ben Simmons finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds after missing all of last season, and Markelle Fultz added 10 points off the bench.  Robert Covington led Philly with 29 points, including 7-of-11 from three.
