(Dauphin County, PA) -- The Mayor of Steelton is calling for an audit of the borough's finances. Mayor Ciera Dent says she is continuing to hear concerns about the borough's spending along with allegations of misappropriation of funds and irregularities in contract management even though she asked for those issues to be addressed over a year ago. Dent said those contracts cost Steelton about one-million-dollars in fees this year alone. She believes the audit is needed to "restore public trust" and "ensure that every dollar is accounted for."
