Nearly 800 Incidents Reported In HSD Since Start Of School Year

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The Harrisburg School District is looking to curb an increase in violent incidents since the start of the school year. HSD has recorded almost 800 incidents since classes started in August, including physical violence and weapon possession. District Assistant Superintendent Dr. Marisol Craig said earlier this week that she believes gang violence is a part of the problem. WHTM-TV reports the district is considering hiring its own police officers.
