Highspire Borough Enacts Burn Ban

(Dauphin County, PA) -- A Dauphin County borough is enacting a burn ban. Officials in Highspire say open burning is banned until further notice due to the increased threat of wildfires. Highspire joins a growing list of Central Pennsylvania municipalities prohibiting outdoor burning because of the dry conditions. State officials say more than 100 wildfires have been reported in the past week.
