York County Institutes Burn Ban

(York County, PA) -- York County is instituting a countywide burn ban. The decision was made by the County Commissioners yesterday in response to record-low water levels. The ban prohibits open burning of any combustible materials including garbage and leaves along with fireworks. County officials say fires are still allowed in state and federal campgrounds as long as they are surrounded by a protective ring.
