Weather Warning: What Does Today Look Like?

CBS21-Friday Weather Warn Day: Bracing for heavy rain and potential flooding from Debby remnants

FRIDAY - WEATHER WARN DAY:

The remnants of Debby will bring some very heavy rain to Central PA through the late afternoon. The heaviest rain will fall from about 4am until 3pm. Some isolated spots could see over 4-6" of rain during this timeframe. As a result, smaller creek and streams will have to be monitored closely for potential flooding. This will also trigger hazardous travel conditions as there will be ponding on the roadways and in poor drainage areas. The winds will also be very gusty by midday, which could lead to downed trees and wires. Have a plan in place in the event that you were to lose power.

WEEKEND FORECAST:

All the rain from Debby will exit in time for a really nice weekend. Sunny skies with lower humidity and highs near 80 for both Saturday and Sunday. It will feel like Fall!
