Pennsylvania Senate Approves Deepfake Porn Ban
(Harrisburg, PA) -- Deepfake porn will likely soon be outlawed in Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania Senate on Monday approved a plan to ban deepfake images of pornography or 'salacious' material. Lawmakers say the ban closes a loophole that has frustrated law enforcement for years. The to-be law bans both deepfake naked pictures of adults, and deepfake pictures of kids. Several other states have their own versions of the same law. The Pennsylvania House will next take-up the deepfake ban.
