(Fort Worth TX) -- American Airlines is making it easier to fly with pets. Passengers can now bring their furry companion on board along with a full-size carry-on bag instead of just one small item. The bag must be able to fit under the seat or their pet will be put in the cargo hold. A spokesperson for the airline says the change will reduce the urge for travelers to falsely claim their pet is a service animal that flies for free.
