Lancaster County Expected To Grow 8.4% Over Next 25 Years
(Lancaster, PA) -- Lancaster is one of the state's 67 counties whose populations are projected to increase. The county is expected to grow about eight-and-a-half-percent through the year 2050 with a continued increase to have a growing number of older residents. Researchers say the decline in young residents is because of lower birthrates and smaller family sizes and the fact that boomers make up a large portion of the population.
