Joint Hearing Happening Today Regarding State Computer Files Deletion

(Harrisburg, PA) -- A pair of Senate committees are holding a joint hearing today to find out more information about state computer files being deleted by mistake. The incident on January 3rd involved state Information Technology staff and led to thousands of police and the State Employees' Retirement System records being wiped out. More than 77 computer system servers were affected. The hearing is set for 2:00 p.m. is being held by the Senate Communications and Technology Committee and the State Government Committee. It will also be livestreamed on the internet.
