WEST CALN TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WHP/CBS3) — The Octorara School District has announced the school board president has died in a Chester County plane crash on Thursday.
The district said Sam Ganow died in the wreck.
The plane went down in the backyard of a home in West Caln Township shortly after 1:30 p.m. The Federal Aviation Administration said Ganow was the only person on board.
The National Transportation Safety Board responded to the scene to begAuthorities said no homes were damaged in the crash, but the plane barely avoided a house.in an investigation. The FAA said the NTSB will likely post an initial incident report on Friday.
