Taylor Swift Clarifies "Eagles" Shirt Song Reference
(Harrisburg, PA) -- Pop superstar Taylor Swift has clarified a disputed reference to an Eagles shirt in her song "Gold Rush." At the first of three sold-out concerts in Philadelphia last weekend, she gave a special shout out to the city's football team during her show at Lincoln Financial Field. The Philadelphia Inquirer reports she confirmed that a line in the song about an Eagles shirt hanging on her door refers to the team, not the band. She reportedly told the crowd she loves the classic rock group but also said, "Guys, like, come on, I'm from Philly." Fans responded by exploding into an E-A-G-L-E-S chant. The singer grew up in West Reading, which is about an hour out from Philadelphia.
