(Washington, DC) -- President Biden may potentially have an unlikely ally in doing more to regulate Big Tech. In his State of the Union address Tuesday night, he said "It's time to pass bipartisan legislation to stop Big Tech from collecting personal data on kids and teenagers online." Before Biden's speech, Missouri Republican Senator Josh Hawley told NBC News that he wants to make 16 the minimum legal age to use social media. Hawley is one of the president's harshest critics but he supports Biden's FTC Chairwoman Lina Khan, who has written about what she's called the need to break up monopolies in the tech industry.
