(Dauphin Co., PA) -- Dauphin County commissioners want to recognize their volunteer first responders. The board approved a 250-dollar yearly tax credit today as a way to thank them for spending their free time protecting the community. Commissioner Mike Pries says volunteer first responders are the most valuable assets of the community and make up about 20-percent of emergency dispatches. Cumberland County approved a similar measure last year.
