(Harrisburg, PA) -- A state lawmaker wants to ban the use of cellphones in public schools statewide. State Representative Anthony DeLuca of Penn Hills has introduced legislation that would prevent students from using their cellphones while at school. DeLuca says preventing the use of phones in classes would allow students to focus and learn better. Earlier this month, Penn Hills School District said a similar policy banning the use of cellphones in school will go into effect next school year.
