(Harrisburg, PA) -- Former Governor Tom Ridge is back in the public arena after suffering a stroke in June. Ridge made his first appearance since the stroke in a video commemorating the 20th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks. The former governor was in office during the time of the attacks and in the video he expressed gratitude for first responders that were at the crash site of United Flight 93. He also took time to remember the plane's passengers and crew, calling them heroes. Ridge also thanked the American people for the experiences they have given him from being a governor to being the first Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
