(York, PA) -- York County officials have confirmed there are no more ICE detainees in the county jail. Immigration advocates who had pushed for the closing of the facility had celebrated the initial announcement that the center would close last Thursday. But many detainees at the York County Prison were transferred to other facilities. At least 92 detainees were released, according to an immigration advocacy group in Philadelphia. There are now two ICE detention centers in Pennsylvania, one each in Pike and in Clinton counties.

(Lower Paxton Twp, PA) -- Police in Lower Paxton Township expect to release more details today about a man who was killed in a crash that occurred during a chase this weekend on I-81. On Friday night, police say an officer who was positioned on a median on North Mountain Road spotted an SUV with an expired inspection sticker. The SUV sped off when the officer tried to make a traffic stop. Police say the SUV exceeded 100 miles an hour as it drove on to I-81 South. The SUV collided with a truck during the chase, and the driver was killed. No identity has been released.

(Franklin Twp, PA) -- Traffic is returning to normal on Route 15 in York County following a traffic accident involving a tractor-trailer and an SUV yesterday afternoon. Officials with Northern York County Regional Police say the tractor-trailer read-ended the SUV as the SUV was making a right turn on to Hickory Road.

(Dallastown, PA) -- Investigators in York County are searching for a Dallastown woman who went missing last Thursday under what they call suspicious circumstances. York Area Regional Police say Sara Loricchio was last seen last Thursday morning about 10 o-clock. She was reported missing to police yesterday about noon. Police have not explained what the suspicious circumstances are surrounding her disappearance. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact York Area Regional Police.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- A Harrisburg nonprofit agency is helping schoolchildren return to school with the supplies they need to start the year. Love Works 91 handed out 100 backpacks filled with supplies, including pencils, rulers and calculators, yesterday at Veterans Park in Susquehanna Township. The group also gave away food and gift cards to the children who turned out.

(Reading, PA) -- Masks must be worn starting today inside all city-owned buildings in Reading. Mayor Eddie Moran says they are following the recommendation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. All visitors and employees will also need to wear a mask inside all Berks County-owned buildings.

(Reading, PA) -- Berks Heim is not requiring employees to be vaccinated for COVID-19, but spokeswoman Stephanie Weaver says they are educating them about the shots. The Berks County-operated nursing home has 66-percent of its staff fully vaccinated. State health officials have a goal of having nursing homes with 80-percent of staff fully vaccinated by the start of October.

(Reading, PA) -- The failure of a pipe at the Western Berks Water Authority water treatment plant has them reminding customers to not use much water. The failure of the pipe caused flooding at the plant, which resulted in problems with some equipment. People are being asked to conserve water because the Reading Area Water Authority is now serving the customers of both until sometime this week.

(Fleetwood, PA) -- A family of four is out of their home after it caught fire in Fleetwood early Saturday morning. Firefighters were called to the 300-block of North Franklin Street around 1 a.m. and needed to rescue one of the victims. The Red Cross is helping the two adults and two children. No cause has yet been determined.

(Reading, PA) -- A plastic bag ban could be in the works for Reading. Mayor Eddie Moran supports the proposal, but the administration wants to be sure it doesn't burden business owners and cuts down on pollution. (Harrisburg, PA) -- The Pennsylvania Department of Health is recommending that fully vaccinated immunocompromised individuals get the COVID booster shot. Last week, the FDA gave the OK for moderately to severely immunocompromised people to get the shot, only if they're fully vaccinated with the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine. State health officials say they are pleased that the federal government is taking steps to ensure individuals who are immunocompromised have the opportunity to receive another layer of protection against the virus.
>>Four Hospitalized After Crash At School Fundraiser
(Lackawanna County, PA) -- Four people are in the hospital after a car crash near a back-to-school fundraiser in Lackawanna County. Police say around 1 p.m. yesterday, a car crash on a highway near Clifton Township sent two cars spinning out of control and into the event. Two pedestrians were struck during the incident and were sent to the hospital, along with the two drivers. The two pedestrians who were struck reportedly told others they are okay, but the conditions of the drivers are unknown.
>>Pennsylvanians Allowed To Feed Birds Again
(Harrisburg, PA) -- The Pennsylvania Game Commission says residents can feed birds again. Over the last few months, Pennsylvania along with at least ten other states were seeing a mysterious rise of sick and dead birds, but it seems the unknown disease is waning. Officials also found no correlation between the disease and feeding the birds or birdbaths and feeders. However, residents are urged to constantly clean feeders and bird baths.
>>Pennsylvania Turnpike Warns Of Tunnel Closures
(Harrisburg, PA) -- Traffic restrictions are starting today for the Kittatinny and Blue Mountain tunnels in Franklin County. Workers will be performing annual tunnel maintenance while traffic restrictions are in place through September 16th. Eastbound tunnel closures will occur from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday until August 26th. Westbound tunnel closures will occur Tuesday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. from September 7th until September 16th.
