(Leesport, PA) -- The Berks County Solid Waste Authority is ready to handle an influx of cardboard boxes at the recycling center in Bern Township with Amazon Prime Day underway. Officials are reminding residents to remove all packaging and plastic parts from the cardboard boxes before they recycle them at the center on Hilltop Road. This month is the earliest Amazon has held the online sales initiative.
